At Shika Cloud, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal data.

1. Data We Collect

To provide our services, we collect minimal personal information, including:

• Full Name and Email Address (for account management).
• IP Address (for security and provisioning whitelisting).
• Phone Number (for M-Pesa transaction verification and identity validation).

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your information solely to:

• Provision and manage your cloud infrastructure.
• Process payments via our secure gateways (IntaSend/Paystack).
• Send critical service alerts (overdue invoices, provisioning ready).
• Comply with anti-fraud and KYC requirements of upstream providers.

3. Third-Party Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. However, as an infrastructure provider, we must share specific technical data with our global datacenter partners to fulfill your orders:

• Infrastructure Partners: Your SSH public key and provisioning IP are shared with our tier-1 datacenter partners to provision and secure your hardware.
• Payment Processors: Transaction details are handled securely by our integrated payment gateways. We do not store your full credit card or M-Pesa PINs.
• Domain Registrars: Domain WHOIS data is shared with registry partners as required by ICANN regulations.

4. Data Retention

Account data is retained as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, all server data is permanently erased from the physical hardware after 14 days of non-payment. Account records are kept for 7 years for tax and legal compliance in Kenya.
